BLS, CPR/AED, First Aid, & Instructor Courses
Teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. Covers single and multiple rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR, proper use of a pocket mask, use of a bag-mask device with oxygen tank, single and team rescues using the AED, and how to clear an obstructed airway on victims of all ages. Initial courses include the cost of the student book.

This course covers Adult CPR and AED use, optional modules in Child and Infant CPR and AED use, opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies, and choking. This class is perfect for educators, coaches, construction workers, and office workers. This course teaches a simpler version of CPR and uses equipment you would find in a public setting. CPR and First Aid certification is available through either the American Heart Association or the American Safety and Health Institute. Classes are held regularly in Fort Collins.
This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 U.S. states. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers child/infant CPR, child/infant AED, child/infant choking, and pediatric first aid. Adult modules in CPR, AED and choking are optional.
The Heartsaver® for K-12 Schools course is an affordable way for students, staff, and faculty to complete the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver® CPR AED course. “Faculty” refers to teachers and coaches; “staff” refers to an employee of a K-12 school or K-12 school system.
Skills covered: Single rescuer adult, child, and infant CPR, how to deal with choking for all ages, and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) on any age victim.
This course is designed to prepare students to provide basic CPR and First Aid. Students learn from up to three modules:
First aid basics including: responsibilities of first aid rescuers, scene safety, phoning for help, finding the problem (and more)
Medical emergencies including: assembling and using an inhaler, use of an EpiPen®, choking in an adult, child, and infant, diabetes and low blood sugar, stroke (and more)
Injury emergencies including: actions for external bleeding, amputation, broken bones and sprains, burns (and more)
Environmental emergencies including: actions for bites and stings, temperature-related and poison emergencies
The ASHI Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) is an in-depth training program designed to focus on supervising, caring for and keeping children and infants safe in babysitting settings. The program provides fundamental information in the business of babysitting, proper supervision, basic caregiving skills and responding properly to ill or injured children or infants.
